Author Profile

By day, I teach at a small college in the southwest that focuses on books greater than the ones I write by night. At first, I wrote "kung fu" tales just for my daughter, when she was a little ninja studying karate. As she grew up, the tales evolved into full-length novels focusing on the dilemmas of young adults, and then military veterans, diplomats, spies, and even mad scientists, but typically set against the background of martial arts adventures. When I'm not writing or teaching, I enjoy walking my dogs in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains outside Santa Fe.
