In people, as in books, Jonathan values those who simultaneously take us out of ourselves and give us permission to be fully ourselves. He strives to do the same for others in his fiction, essays, and poetry. A graduate of St. John's College and Bread Loaf School of English, he lives with his husband and son in Maryland, where he teaches English. He is Fiction Editor at Oyster River Pages, and is represented by Chris Kepner (The Kepner Agency).
